Just wanted to take a quick moment to both gripe and encourage at the same time here. What we are going through right now stinks, no two ways about it. And sometimes it is hard to let go of the exhaustion and frustration, and see the long-term rewards for the short-term effort. And the challenges and sacrifices we are being faced with make it all the harder....the Saturdays taking practice tests, the nights spent studying rather than hanging out with friends, and in my particular case being dumped by my boyfriend because you "don't have enough time for him" (even though he is pre-med and went through this last year, but whatever). BUT, it IS short term, and the rewards will be long term. My dad was telling me yesterday, if you think about it, you have at least 60 more years to enjoy life and live it up. 3 months of devoting your life towards paving the way for those 60 years is nothing, and totally worth every minute of it. So, one more month of pushing ourselves. Only a month, and then we can have our lives back (yippee!), and you will finish that test knowing you did everything you could to do your best, and it'll be over. (and personally aferwards I will be having a grand old time if you know what I mean :) ) So don't think of it as "oh my gosh, I'm running out of time." Think of it as pushing yourself into the home stretch and sprinting into the finish line.

P.S. Yes, I am a cheeseball, I will admit it, but too bad. ;)

A timely word.

But I actually don't think I am pushing myself. Nothing is guaranteed, I always say. We are merely gambling--I know I am--like we do in the casinos, and don't forget to pray for the Mercies of Providence.

Consider yourself lucky to have lost the self-centered jerk now! You're definitely better off in the long run!

Lol, thanks SailCrazy, my thoughts exactly. Oh SDN how do I love thee... :)

Awesome post!! Lets all suck it up and deal with! I know none of us want to do this twice!

There are people working 80 hours a week for change and people whine about studying for a little test like the MCAT. Pah, the mcat should only remind us of how priviledged we are.
