I haven't seen a thread like this in awhile, and now that's it's April, I thought it was appropriate to get a little ticked off at the 9 schools that have been completely SILENT as far as my application status. Two have put me on pre-interview hold back in October. The other 7? Absolutely nothing.

Are files really still 'under review' at this stage of the game? 6 weeks left in the 2006 application cycle? If I get told one more time that my 'application has been flagged as eligible for another review' when I call Loyola this Thursday, I really, really might scream (which will probably remove the 'eligible for another review' flag from my file).

OH MY GOSH I SOOOOOOOOOO FEEL YOU!! What is up with Loyola!! and UMiami for that matter, I'm still on the ranked list..havent heard from jefferson...likw what the heck!! but loyola.....PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE
they said they'd interview thru april so i guess there's still hope, but i was complete in JULY!! you'd think they'd know if they wanted to interview me after having reviewed it 5,000,000 times...right?
whatever, if i get an interview, it'll be a nice excuse for an awesome chicago vacation, woot woot! if not....i havent lost anything 😀

agreed - I think that the TEN months these schools have had to make a decision should be long enough. Come on now people...earn that $100 secondary fee.

Unless you applied in Jan, things don't look good at these schools.

I agree, but here's hoping I prove us both wrong! 🙄

Miami has a ranked list? Where can you find your ranking?

I think that at this point, the schools that have been silent will remain silent for a while. They are too busy getting stuff ready for 2nd look weekends and financial aid stuff. After all this is over, they'll have time to send us the rejections. 😡

I called the schools who had been silent to me and asked if they were still offering interviews. That crossed about 5 off of my list. I think three or so are still silent.

Seriously!! I still haven't heard from Loyola. I have already committed to my state school (and I am really faithful that way) so I am not as ticked, but I almost feel like calling Matt over there to hear him say "the committe has re-reviewed your file for the 7th time and they have put you in a pile to be re-reviewed in August should a large protion of our class get trapped under something heavy."

i finally just marked my mdapps profile as 'complete' despite no letter from hopkins. i kinda get the vibe that i won't actually ever get a letter from them at all despite the fact that i'm sure someone looked at my app back in july, laughed, and threw it out...

yeah, matt definitely has his little speech down. and to think I actually got excited the first time I heard, "... and I will express your continued interest in Loyola to the committee," thinking that actually gave me a better chance. The committee apparently doesn't give a damn about my interest.
