after 1,060 posts in 7 weeks, 3 days, 6 hrs and 14 minutes here I finally realized how to see a new post in a very long thread. Previously i just gave up reading them. 🙁

I just recently found out about the "View First Unread" link too and have been using it like crazy. It makes things much simpler. Include me in the "dorks r us" anonymous society

OIC. You are talking about seeing new posts and I am talking about seeing new threads within a post that you've already read.

When you open a post that you've already read but has new entries, there is a link at the top of the thread called "View First Unread". If you click this. it will take you to the first unread post and bypass all the ones you alread read before.

what? threads don't exist within posts, rather posts exist within threads or has the law of thermodynamics changed and more matter or energy is being created...???

I meant "I am talking about seeing new posts and you are talking about seeing new threads." Either way, its a nice feature for those threads that have 100's of responses...

but my method must have an expiration time b/c when i don't look at something posted for hours nothing is highlighted even if i never read it. how do you check it your method?
