well, thank god that test is behind me...that is, if i pass it🙄
to all who are prepping, keep at it. do tons of practice questions. do both NBME self-assesments. i got at least 3 free questions that were straight from the practice. q-bank is good, cause most of the questions at least sounded familiar.
i found that about 40% were pretty straightforward. most of the rest could be easily narrowed down to 2 possibilities, but it was still a bi@%# to have to "guess" on so many. mostly path, phys, behavioral science and a few anatomy, pharm, biochem. i was glad there was not too much pharm, but some of those questions were ridiculous. and some of the physio questions with 10 possible combinations of answers were a bit ridiculous. lots of hormones, a fair bit of immuno. not too many calculations, just a few in behavioral science and maybe a renal...i don't remember too well specifically, just glad that the few i had were pretty easy. saw a few graphs/charts that i couldn't really figure out what they were showing. but, overall a pretty fair test. just a ton of material to know....
i would be surprised if i did great, a little surprised if i failed, and nothing else would surprise me at all! now, having to wait for the score for 6 weeks will be as stressfull as taking the test!!!😱
oh well....good luck to everyone out there, and if you have questions i will be happy to share my experience.
