Would having an Ivy league school on your transcript effect your residency?

Like speeding up your residency? Post-residency benefit maybe with fellowships?

I don't have qualitative data to prove this but if you look at medical school STEP exam scores, there does seem to be a correlation between the reputation of the school and how high the scores are. I'm not specifically talking about Ivy League though. Plus, the better the school, the higher average matriculating stats and thus, the higher the probability that students will score higher.

The scores are all over the lot....this is the best info I could find here.
