I just tried to register for the Jan. 26th date in Arizona but on the registration page, my state doesn't even show up. I'm assuming that means the seats are already full (It's more than 2 months away still!)

Do more seats open or should I strongly be setting my self up to take a later test date? I had already begun studying for the MCAT, but there are no February exams, and the March exam only has a testing center in Casa Grande (~1 hour drive) or Goodyear (~2 hour drive) from Tucson (I go to U of A). So realistically I need to wait till April...

This really sucks because it pretty much means I need to stop studying right now, I won't be able to utilize my Winter break as uninterrupted study time and I'll need to pretty much study while in the middle of my semester. Ugh, I know they said to register early but I didn't know it was that early.

One hour drive isn't bad at all. I would sign up for that one if I were you.

I'm from northern CA and I have a friend registered in Oregon and another registered in Arizona for the January MCAT. Sits filled up almost instantly here. They are both going to drive at least 4-6 hours just to take the test.

This. I am from SoCal and registered for the MCAT on the first day, and by the time I was able to log in all the seats in SoCal were filled. As a result, I have to drive to your state (Phoenix) to take the test. Maybe consider looking at a neighboring state because in my opinion it's better to just suck it up and travel then delay it if it doesn't fit your optimal study timeline.

I was lucky enough to get seated in my city, Omaha. I almost purposely seated myself in Lincoln which is about 45 minutes away so I could get a hotel room, relax on my own the night before and take the test the next day. So taking a small trip may not be all that bad.

They were full in alberta, canada 2 days after they were released.... I had to book it for April.....
