What kinds of job opportunities are out there for graduates of PharmD/MBA (or MPH or MHA) programs? Are the job markets for these kinds of positions saturated as well? Is one PharmD degree combo considered more competitive to have than another?

I think you should consider who would possibly be hiring for this sort of background, and then keep asking around in those companies. Note that as a new grad with two degrees, you won't be considered especially valuable to most places out there, even with the extra degree, unless you have experience. This is the sort of degree I'd only recommend seeking if you have a definitive idea of what you will do with it. Otherwise it could be a real waste of your money and time.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if having the extra degree might make a job applicant more competitive in this era of pharmacist oversaturation.

PharmD MBA/MHA may not get you a destination job without experience. Destination being director and Or hospital administration COO CEO route.

Experience or degree, which one weighs more? Say a PharmD with years of leadership experience (prior to and after the PharmD) versus a newly minted PharmD MBA/MHA with no experience.

You need both.

Degrees will open doors so you can get experience.

Just have to be able to jump in to a fast moving train.

Being that a pharmacy degree with an MBA or MHA or MPH, isn't a rare combination anymore, you really must differentiate yourself from the growing masses by having the 'chaser' degree, earned from an ivy league school. When the market gets crowded, by many with the same qualifications, the time tested winner is always going to be the one with the better education.

In your opinion is it better to get the degree first, get experience working a regular job then advance to management via promotion or a job change?

Or is it better to accumulate experience and then go back to school or online for degree?

Pharm.D. MBA isn't rare But neither common. And really No need for an Ivy MBA as a pharmacist to excel unlike someone who has to rely on MBA alone.

Depends on What you want to do with pharmacy. The best way to make yourself competitive is to do pgy1 & MBA Or MS in pharm admin Or MHA. PGY1 will expose you to many task you won't see as a staff.

What if I just want to make a lot of money?
