whats the real story on retail jobs here

CVS has posted 25 and 31 open positions here for such tiny states, while only 8 jobs for a bigger state like IL...

people always say NE is bad for jobs, but I'm not seeing it per CVS.com....

they're probably all dummy posts...your app will probably go into the dark abyss. I feel this way sometimes with Walmart's postings on their website. but again, only people who are currently working there would be able to tell you if there's a temporary anomaly with the current job market there.

I honestly don't know how they evaluate saturation. I tried finding employment in the southeast (supposedly not as saturated) and landed full time in the northeast in a supposedly super saturated city.

The market for new grads and retail drones is probably hideous in most areas. Probably less of an issue for applicants with perceived skills/expertise.

Most of those are fake listings. They usually have an internal employee lined up for the job long before it gets posted. Then the 400+ applications that were submitted get ignored.

CVS headquarters are in RI. MA/CT and parts of NY is their base. Boston area itself probably has 10+ districts. Wags is headquartered in IL.
