Are the medical schools in Mexico (University of Guadalajara) and/or the Carribean tough to get into?? What are the advantages and disadvantages of going to these schools rather than those in America?
It seems as though more and more pre-med students are going to these schools as US med schools become increasingly more competitive to get into.

They are not easy to get into, but as a rule are not near as hard to get into as US schools.
Yes, many people do go to an out-of-the country medical school as an alternative. A better option is osteopathic school. Also, if you do go out of the country, make sure your classes will be in English or in a language you understand!
