I'm relatively new here and I was wondering if there any other Natives out there in this forum.

Have you looked into any schools that have connections to Native health? I'm always on the lookout, Hopkins has a Center for AI Health tied to the school of public health I've noticed..

I'm Navajo, and oh do I wish to get into UNM so I can stay in-state.

The big three medical schools for Native health include The University of Minnesota-Duluth, The University of Washington and The University of North Dakota. If you are familiar with the DO philosophy, then AT Still School of Osteopathic Medicine and Pacific Northwest University have clinical sites that target American Indian and Alaskan Native populations.

I really wanted to try to the University of Washington but I keep getting scared that since I'm out of state I have no chance.

Stanford just started a class that is an elective that is called "Health Disparities in the American Indian Community." Members of the class spent their spring break on the Rosebud reservation setting up a clinic. I love that so much.
