Just curious if anyone else has run into this issue.....I fulfilled my English requirements for my undergrad through the classics department so I never technically took a course in the English department. Would this still count towards the English requirements at most schools or do I need to take courses specifically in the English/Literature department?

Thanks

From what I understand, as long as expository writing was involved (Gordon Rule, etc.) it's cleared as an "English" credit

Some schools will require English or composition. Others will require English or literature. Some schools require only "English" (but I suspect you can bend their rules)

I was fine at every school with one formal English class, one "literature/composition" class, and one AP English class.

Good luck.

At my school there are some classes that count as an English class here, but what about for medical schools? Like History of the South Asia is "English" cuz we write a lot...Should you actually take a formal class called English Writing or is this ok?
