I am applying to med school for entrance into the Fall 2006 class and have been accepted already at 2 DO schools. Why would someone not go DO and go MD? What are the advantages? Does anyone know if there is a difference in salaries of DOs vs. MDs? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

There was an extensive thread about DO vs. MD that turned nasty, but had some useful info. In general, going to an allopathic school keeps more doors open down the road for residency training.
