Just got the Upitt secondary, should I submit it?

29 mcat, 3.75 GPA (both science and cum.). I am a non-trad, so i'd have a really good essay to write for their "diversity" question... I'm currently doing research, but only started a couple months ago. Is it worth the $75? Do I really have a shot?

i got the secondary for pitt pretty late too. it was a couple of weeks ago, and my primary was processed at the end of july! i also wondered if it would be worth it this late, but i figured i would give my right arm to go to pitt so i might as well do the secondary! i submitted it the same day i got it.

and yesterday, i got a huge glossy brochure thing in the mail from them and a typed letter inviting me to submit the secondary, a whole 2 weeks after their email! so late... does not seem like a good sign.

I'm a non-trad and I'm interviewing there next week ... I've heard very good stuff about them from other non-trads.

Pitt has been embarrassingly late in releasing secondaries. Don't take it as a sign that you are an afterthought.

Hey, I got the secondary REALLY late, turned it around and got an interview. I dont think there is a science to it all, so I say submit.

Unfortunately they send them by carrier pigeon, so it takes months to find out! 😛

i don't know. for the most part i guess upitt is being somewhat slow, but if there is an applicant they really want i think they are being quick enough. for example, some people got interview invites even before they completed their secondary, and an AUGUST mcater on sdn with a score of 41 or something got an interview invite last week! that mean they are definitely looking at applications *selectively* and not in the order they got them.
