Has anyone, in the last five or so years, ever seen a 43-45 MCAT score?

I'll be the first to question the validity of those from TPR... Not a reliable source.

Yep, I think my raw scores were about that :D

I think the real question is, who got a 43-45T!

screw 43-45 T, i'm satisfied with knowing someone ANYONE who got a freaking perfect score on the multiple choice. That is NUTTY. i wouldn't trust any of those losers of the TPR website, they're all liars. now on this board...if any of you are out there (kutastha says 7 or 8, but that sounds impossible, i cannot bring myself to believe that), then post, you beautiful minds.

The highest scores that I've heard of are a 40 MCAT score and a 42.

The 40 MCAT score was from a lady who took TPR with me.

The 42 MCAT score was made by the niece of the Assistant Dean of life sciences at my school. He said Harvard gave her a first class ticket to interview there. I don't know if this is valid or not. SHRUG :)

Hey TwoSteveSquared congrats :D Way to make your parents proud! I know that Ken, our fellow SDNer, had a 40, but I think that is about the highest I've ever heard of - thanks for the posts everyone. :)

Holy moley, I was kidding. As for high scores like this, I'd have to see it before I believe it. Anyone can score well with hearsay.

Andrew

i personally knew three people at my college who got "perfect" mcat scores. harvard certainly did not pay them to go interview and ended up accepting only one of them. i have "this friend" who got more than 40 on the mcat last year. :)

I think for the past 5 years I've known somebody who's gotten a 40-42....I don't personally know anybody who got a perfect score though.

My rommate got a 40-42. Perfect verbal, 14B, 13P. He's now and MD/PHD at UCLA.

I heard that my godmother's best friend's brother in-law's cousin's half brother's son's nanny's sister's boyfriend's nephew's babysitter had a perfect MCAT score.

I know one girl who cried when she got her MCAT score. It was a 39. And them tears, they weren't tears of joy...

Somehow, almost everyone I know got a 36 or higher. Just off the top of my head, I can think of a 36, 37, 39, 40-42, 41, 36, 39, 38, and 42-44. Kinda tends to make one feel quite inferior, having such smart friends... :(

smart friends or great liars!!! that is what half of my friends told me last year, and then these were where they got accepted to medical school....Finch, NYMED, hahneman, albany, etc etc....hmmm maybe I should deduce 10 from each of those scores and that will reveal their true score! hehe :p

If you knew them, you wouldn't doubt. Oh, I forgot another 38...

One of the instructors for my PR course got a 42+ on the MCAT the year before I took it (so that would be two years ago). I can't remember but I think he had a masters in chemistry...and undergrad was biochem? or something. He tutured physics as an undergrad and was teaching chem in PR.

Yeah along those lines one of my Kaplan instructor, MSTP at U-Dub, scored a 41, and she wasn't even the one that later appeared on Jeopardy.

hey rondo--was "this friend" actually you?
i'm assuming the 3 people you knew were friends...then you mentioned another friend. are you friendly with yourself? more specifically, are you friendly with yourself AND scored above 40 on the mcat?

sincerely,
A Friend of a Friend

My roommate got a 39-41Q, 13-15V, 12P, 14B he's now an MS1 at Wash. U. Harvard didn't even call him up for an interview so I seriously doubt the first-class ticket thing. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I have yet to get an interview anywhere, and my MCAT touches upon the 40 mark.

I think once you're above a certain point, it doesn't really matter. Schools don't really care if you have a 36 or a 42 - there's not much of a statistical difference there. Maybe a question or two different in each section. And I think even with a 43 or something like that, without some decent ECs, you'd be lucky to get in anywhere.
