I just received an invite from Kaiser-LA. They gave me 2 dates in January. Is it worth taking an interview offer this late? Why did they make an offer so late?
Kind of strange.
Anyhow, does anyone know anything about Kaiser-LA?

just curious, did you end up accepting the offer to interview? i was hoping someone would reply b/c i'm curious about kaiser-la myself. anyway, for what it's worth (since i haven't actually been there myself), here's what i've heard from residents that i've talked to that have interviewed/rotated there...

1) it's not as strong a program c/w the northern kaisers, but since it's the only one in socal, it is still popular
2) one resident that did a sub-I there was not impressed, she basically thought their learning curve was way lower compared to our home program, for example the resident presentations given during didactics was "med student level" (her exact words)
3) kasier-la went unfilled in 2005 (1-2 spots)
4)one intern did a gyn-onc away rotation and loved it b/c it was a light schedule c/w what she's used to and people were very nice

not very useful info, i know. very subjective. i'd say if they were intially one of you top programs and you live in la why not check it out? 🙂
