Just received TPR Biochem. Quick Review: It reads nice but it's missing a lot of stuff. If you want a solid foundation in biochem, go with Kaplan (not even close).

agreed! I like Kaplan's books, except for the fact that they don't have passage based practice questions (only discretes)
TBR part II Bio is great for biochem too! They cover all that Kaplan covers. I use it for passage work.
I second that. Everyone thinks its too detail oriented, but I personally love TBR part II bio for biochem.
Me too! I think it really nailed it.
Did ya use the new edition? or the 2011 one?

To confirm, are you talking about TPR that was released Jan 5th, 2016? This one - Amazon product ASIN 0451487141
It seems like a decent deal if it's halfway decent. Includes 3 FL tests also.
Yes, I'm talking about the newest. You can get the 3FL with the ISBN or by buying their Phych & Sociology book which is really solid.
Kaplan is much better in term of content covered. My bestfriend is super strong in biochemistry and he even said that the book was lacking after we reviewed it.
This coming from someone who hates Kaplan way to present content but their biochemistry book is really solid and is the best out there in the market.
Your best friend said Kaplan biochem was lacking or tpr biochem was lacking?
