Kaplan class cancelled in New Orleans

So I was recently informed three days before the first day of my Kaplan DAT prep class that it is being cancelled due to lack of enrollment. I am very upset and was wondering if there were any options of other good classroom courses besides Kaplan or Princeton Review. (Their next classroom sessions are not until this summer). I was given the option of the online class and tutor but am not interested in that at all. Any advice / suggestions would be great ?! Thanks !

Really don't waste your money, spend it on better study materials. If you want a lecture, check out Chad's videos, and a bio lecture that would cover the scope and detail of what you should have an idea about would take far longer than what a Kaplan course could give you..... The online course materials however are very nice, but far from worth the money.

I could agree more. I would say the only thing Kaplan helps you with is motivate you to study. I finished the class about a month ago and gained little or nothing from it. I didn't even finish all the test because they make them so much harder than the DAT. If I had to do it over again I would simply get chads videos to start with and the destroyer to end it with.

I had the same problem a few weeks back and I asked the same question as you did. I got the same answers you are getting right now. "Don't waste you money". I decided to take the advise and I ended up getting my money back and I used that money to buy different resources like chad's, CDP,....) and I believe I made a good choice. Either way, at the end just dedicate yourself and that way you wont even have to wait til the summer. Just my two cents.

Dont do any of those classes.. just get your own materials and study yourself, it will save you a ton of $$.

I'll be in Baton Rouge all summer getting my study on!

Did Kaplan at least refund your money? You can do a combination of Topscore, Chads videos and Destroyer. For bio use Cliffs, Schaums or Campbells. This will definitely help. Much better then nothing. Good luck.
