Kaplan FL 1

Hey ya'll

I'm signed up for the July 18th MCAT and took my first Kaplan FL today. I'm working on content review but wanted to see where I was at. I scored a 494 with breakdown of 122, 125, 125, 122. Should I panic? Or do I seem to be on a decent track. I'm applying DO and MD with a GPA of 3.81 this cycle.

Nope don't panic. Many people on here were scoring around 500 on Kaplan and then did quite well on the real thing. The test prep company FL are usually harder and more in depth than the materials from AAMC. They are good for content review but not a good indicator of where you're at.

Don't panic. One because those aren't that accurate and two because a bunch of the questions you got wrong were likely content.

Friend scored 495 on FL 1 about 2 weeks from his test. He was in the ~86% preliminary percentile range.
