Can someone please explain this question? I thought that if you knew the internal resistance of the speaker, you could simply apply V = IR since the resistor and the speaker are in parallel and have the same voltage across them. Am I wrong?

Well if you know the current through the resistor you can calculate the voltage across the resistor which is the voltage across the speaker.

The speaker/resistor voltage is not V, which is implied in the fact that they want you to calculate it.
