I completed Kaplan FL 3 today and I felt that it was significantly harder than FL 2 and FL1. The physical sciences section was especially hard because there were a lot of application-based passages. The biological science was also difficult, but not as bad as the physical sciences section. The overall curve, however, was more generous. I was wondering if anyone else thought FL3 was hard or was it just me?

My progress so far:
FL1 10PS 5VR (don't know what happened) 10BS
FL2 11PS 9VR 12BS
FL3 9PS 10VR 11BS

I normally average a 70-80% on physical and 75-85% on biological. I know I'm capable of getting 13 on both sections if I reduce some simple test errors--mis-bubbling, reading the question incorrectly, etc. However, on FL 3 I got owned in the physical and got a 59% Ekk. I feel like I no longer know physical sciences. Inputs?

I've been doing the critical topical tests and they are also brutal. I've been averaging 65-83%. I think they're good practice though. I feel like I know the material, but lack some cohesion between inter-disciplines. Do you think it's good idea to give EK books a 2nd read? I don't know if this would waste time, or not.

I wouldn't worry about the topical/section tests.. I was getting 60 - 75% on PS on them.. but I get 11 - 13s on AAMC PS .. so don't worry about it. Best way to do well on PS is by studying the formulas.

Kaplan FL 3 was my best.. I thought the Bio was curved way too easily (10 wrong and 14 in Bio)

I think FL3 was harder for me because it touched on subjects that I was weaker on. I suppose that's what happened. Do you have tips for getting consistent 13? I feel like I can reach it, but my highest so far is 12s on Physical and Biological. One thing I know is that I need to minimize careless errors.

once you start hitting 12s.. its almost luck to get that 13.. unfortunately.. it seemed easier for me to get 13s on Kaplan b/c of the curve. But on the AAMCs, my scores vary wildly between 11 - 13 on sciences.. never scored higher on the AAMCs

For me, my critical reading skills aren't that great.. I rely on knowledge/process of elimination on the sciences.. so, on PS for example, I get all the discreets and most of everything else.. but once I get to a "Verbal-ish" passage talking about ocean water levels or something, I miss 3 questions on it.. and I know I will miss these questions. It sucks but yeah.. On CBT 9 for example, I got a 13 PS.. but getting those 3 questions right on the water level passage would have gotten me a 15.

That's what keeps me in the 11 - 13 range basically.. just do your best.. and know your facts/formulas 100%

I thought this one was curved a bit generously. I went from 10PS/8VR/10BS on FL2 to 10PS/9VR/14BS on FL3, and the only thing I studied in between was physics 😕😀
