I just took Kaplan FL 3...

37 (11PS/12VR/14BS)

Don't get me wrong.. I'd love to have this score on the real deal!

This is just ridiculous though! I know this has been discussed before.. however, a lot of people actually claim that their Kaplan scores correlated with their real scores.. seems a little odd

I don't know what to think. I don't want this to give me a false sense of security.

What do you think about FL3 specifically.. were your scores ridiculously high?!

I've gone from a 23 (diag) --> 28 --> 33 --> 37

Your turning out to be one of Kaplan's poster boys. Nevertheless, you deserve it with all the work you've been putting.

Funny thing is .. on FL 2 and FL3..

I got the same overall % of questions right... 74% (107/144)

33 on FL2 --> 37 on FL 3... I smell bs lol.. whatever, I'll try the actual AAMCs and see how it goes

(bump).. anyone feel this is just a marketing strategy... to feel like you're getting something out of the class

Not really. Give yourself a little bit of credit. You are doing great!

Just continue to take AAMC tests and Kaplan tests side by side and compare. Your real score may be in between the two. Kaplan is fairly decent indicator. For example my AAMC 6 was identical to my Kaplan 6. Kaplan FL2 was my highest score and Kaplan5 (the first one i took) is my lowest score.

Just stick with increasing your % correct. Keep telling yourself this: "My practice scores mean nothing." And strive to get that 74% up to a consistent 80-90%. I know that's hard, especially with Kaplan, but that's the whole point! Good luck man, keep up the good work.

Kaplan FL curve is way too lenient. I suggest you check the percentages you got correct rather than the scaled score. On PS, I had 79% correct and still got a 13. Their scale is total bull. It's basically a method to make you believe that you are actually improving with their class.

Here's a thread I started a week ago on Kaplan FL3.

You don't want a "false" sense of security? Take FL 10 and 11.

An no, Kaplan Tests didn't lead me to believe I am improving, I was actually improving. Simply take AAMC tests on the side to compare.

On both tests I have been scoring 12/13 on BS.
I been scoring 10-12 on PS.
I been scoring 9-11 on Verbal.
