I just took my Kaplan Full legnth #1 today. 8v/9ps/10bs. My half length diagnostic few months ago was 7v/10ps/10bs. I don't see any improvements. Any of you out there who've taken KPL #1 willing to share your experiences? I thought PS was ridiculously hard this time; and that verbal was easy but then got only a 8.

it's actually normal to go down on Kaplan 1 because you are trying to deal with new techniques and info that u didn't know during the diagnostic.....my kap teacher said that

I took the Kaplan Full Length 1 yesturday, I too found the Verbal real easy as well as the bio section. The physics was ridiculously hard! I usually score 8s on the Verbal sections but I found this section to be easy so I'm thinking I got higher than an 8. But we'll see. What did others think?

    Hey
For those who recieved the Kaplan Full length test 1 back, what were the curves like? How many could yo uget wrong in the verbal and still get a 9 or a 10?? Just curious.

Also what did you guys think of it? I didnt think verbal was too bad, in fact i thought it was much easier than the verbal topical exams that kaplan has, is this more indicitive of the actual mcat? i sure hope so!

I took the free Kaplan test on Saturday, but it was not a full length. The verbal passages were much easier than some the practice passages I've been working with so I'm eager to see my scores for that section. The biological and physical sciences sections are another story. I thought both were very tough, so I don't think I'll be able to gather much from my scores on those sections other than I need to study more.

DAL, How have you been working on the verbal? I just recieved my scores, and although my verbal is 2 points higher than my diagnostic, its still low (from 5 to 7). I have no idea what to do! I'm really bugging out cause I thought I did really well on this verbal.

    ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Hmmm...let's see. Well I wanted to take the Kaplan course, but due to time constraints and lack of money I am studying on my own. For the verbal I gathered a lot of practice passages from Kaplan, the AAMC, and others. It's weird because I'm not very consistent with the passages. Sometimes I do very well, and sometimes not well at all. I thought all of the verbal passages on the Kaplan practice were pretty straightforward, but then again I do not get my scores until tomorrow so then I will have a better idea. The only thing you can really do to improve on the verbal is just to read more and practice. The other sections are my pitfall. Since I'm doing my studying independently, I have to motivate myself to review all the basics and then work on practice material. Mainly due to lack of time, I am way behind on where I'd like to be with the physical and biological sections. Hopefully I can catch up, we'll see. From reading other threads and talking with others, the main thing to do to improve on the verbal is read and practice. Good luck with the studies <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

i took the full length kaptest #1 last saturday. On my diag I got straight 6s. I went up a point in my verbal section t a 7(would have an 8 if I hadn't gone back to change 2or 3 answers -always gets me :( ). In physical sciences, it was incredibly hard! I got an 8 in it somehow. I felt like I didnt know anything and tried my best educated guesses most of the section. In biological sciences my score stayed the same at 6.

the percentage right in each section went up. My overall score is somewhat low (21) and I still have a lot of work todo if I went to get into that 30+ range. But Im just encouraged that I answered more questions correctly this time around. My first diagnostic for kaplan I scored a 10 (overall), so the fact that Im at 21 now makes me feel good that Im still improving.
