Hi all.

For those of you out there who used Kaplan self-paced online to study for the MCAT, did you take heavy notes on the chapter or read through and simply test what you needed to work on through the practices exams/questions?

I am currently trying to study for the MCAT using this and have found it quite hard to get through material efficiently because of how long it takes me to get through a chapter because of my note taking.

I am mainly looking for advice on how to maximize my efficiency while using this study plan to get the highest score possible. Any and all advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

I took a Kaplan course (not self-paced), but used the same books you are using. The best advice I got (from a Kaplan instructor) was not to treat the books like textbooks (i.e. don't read them cover to cover). Instead, start with the quiz (discrete practice questions?) at the back of the chapter. Use your wrong answers to guide which section(s) of the chapter you actually need to read.

Thank you so much! Did you do well on the test using Kaplan?
