I just completed a survey from Kaplan about August MCAT. Here are some interesting results:
1. Which section of your exam did you find MOST difficult?
SECTION APRIL 04 AUGUST 04
Physical Sciences 27.2% 18.8%
Verbal Reasoning 38.3% 38.1%
Writing Sample 1.0% 0.8%
Biological Sciences 33.5% 42.4%
3. Did you have to GUESS or leave many questions BLANK because of time
constraints on any of your sections today?
APRIL 04 AUGUST 04
No 57.9% 51.5%
Yes 42.1% 48.5%
4. On which section(s) of your exam did you have to GUESS or leave many
questions BLANK because of time constraints?

Physical Sciences 22.9% 28.6%
Verbal Reasoning 37.5% 31.9%
Writing Sample 1.1% 0.0%
Biological Sciences 21.6% 24.5%
6. How much do you feel your performance on the MCAT today was negatively
impacted by anxiety?

Not at all 19.9% 16.0%
Not too much 50.5% 49.1%
Somewhat 25.5% 31.2%
Very much 4.1% 3.8%
Overall, it seems in August more people felt PS was easy and BS was hard than in April. More August people admitted guessing because time-constraints. And August people seems more affected by anxiety.
