I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they had any different experiences taking the Kaplan class for the mcat's offered in October versus the one offered in January. Is either one any different and/or more helpful than the other? Any info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the october course is a bit slower than the jan course and a little less intense altho, even with the october course, you don't start covering the major material until january. i would go with the january course. it gives just the right amount of time to study for the april test.

I took the October course and thought it was perfect for me. The January course meets twice a week, and I simply didn't have the time for that. The October course only meets once each week.

When do you want to peak? January or April? Unless you can find a Jan MCAT, I'd say the decision is easy. If you don't have time to study in spring semester, take the August MCAT. A poor score will hurt you worse than applying late.
