kaplan online course...no more AAMC material

Ok, now i'm kind of annoyed at this. I took the MCAT in august after taking Kaplan's online course over the summer. I was not happy with my score (it was 7 points below my last practice test), and I called them to re-enroll me for the course for next april since i will be taking the test again.

anyway, i just took a look at the syllabus, and it says that online students now have NO access to AAMC materials at the Kaplan centers. i'm very frustrated about this. i had access to all of the AAMC material this summer, and probably didn't use enough of it. now i have none??? argh!

is anyone else in this same boat?

Call them and talk to a rep, you should have access to exactly what you had last time. I really don't see it a problem for them granting you aamc materials. They will do a lot to keep you satasfied🙂

I called the kaplan ppl today and they told me that you can only use the aamc material at the study centers and that's for the ppl taking the classroom course.

Even if you're taking the online course, will they allow you to come in to use the aamc material?

well, their policy when i took the course over the summer was that with the online course, you simply had to go to the kaplan center to get access to all the same materials that the classroom students had (i.e. aamc practice tests, section tests, etc.), although when i went to the center they gave me a hard time about it b/c i didn't have an official kaplan ID card. i'm going to give them a call to see if i can still get access...it wouldn't be fair if i didnt' have access to the same stuff that i paid for this summer...i mean isn't that the point of the higher score guarantee?
