Hi all,
I prepped for the MCAT in April, took Kaplan. Am now retaking Kaplan cause I need to retake the MCAT (got a lower score than I wanted). One question I had is to the relation between Kaplan and real MCAT verbal scores. I had always done well on the Kaplan Verbal tests, (got reliably above 11s) but then dropped on the real MCAT. Someone suggested that the Kaplan verbal tests are easier than MCAT. I though that the real MCAT was easy and that the reason scores were lower was because everyone did well, thus screwing over the curve. Any other ideas?
By the way, it is also very likely that I just messed up that day. However, I do think there's a good chance against that happening as I managed to finish around a half hour early (which was normal for me in Kaplan and I still scored high), never scored below and 11 on the practice tests for kaplan (it went 11, 11, 11, 11, 12).
As a side note, anyone got any recommendations for studying for verbal?
Thanks in advance.
