Kaplan's strategy: rest-day before mcat

Hi,

Is there merit to Kaplan's strategy for saving the day immediately before the mcat as a 'rest-day' (ie no mcat studying at all)?

Is there merit to Kaplan's strategy for saving the day immediately before the mcat as a 'rest-day' (ie no mcat studying at all)?

Most people advocate this. However, I realized after my first time that taking a day off was just weird (i've never not studied for an entire day before ANY test), so I decided to just do some light studying up until almost time to go. Felt waaay better with this method.

Yeah - this is the reason why I am questioning the method - I never spend the day before the test simply relaxing.. I'll probably do what you did.
