Random question, but does anyone here work in the Kansas City area and know of any paramedic job openings? Moving there at the end of July, neeeed part-time job.

MAST ambulance (Kansas City, MO) is your best bet for part-time gigs. That is the only service I can think of that hires part time. AMR is in Independence, Missouri, not too far from KUMC and they hire part-time as well, but that's about it. Most of the other services are fire-departments and do NOT hire part-time. AMR also has a station out of Johnson County, KS that does "transfers" only and no 911 and they hire part time as well.

Your best bet is still going to be with MAST however.

good luck,

Johnson Co (I noticed you have NY -> KCK) is a pretty high payor if that matters to ya....KCMO is a fairly busy on the MO side.

hhhmmmm how about coming down to Springfield?? We have some medic openings 😀

johnson county med-act the primary 911 service that serves all of johnson county will NOT hire any part time medics. They don't run with EMT-B's either.

try NRAD, I have a few friends there who say they are always hiring. We just had a sign posted in the break room at work (I work in an ER) of some company that was hiring, can't remember who it was but I'll check it tomorrow.
There's also Tri-County, not sure if they are hiring, but it's worth a shot.

lytes, nice to see you back around. I haven't seen posts from you in ages! Welcome back.

Where is NRAD based?

HEY! I know, I've been MIA. My reasons: putting in overtime at the ED, finally managed to finish my BA, and trying to relocate overseas to have some downtime before I apply to DO school. That, in itself has proven to be a pain. Not sure if I'll go ahead with it. what's new around here?
