Can some KCOM students help me find a place to live based on your experience. I am 22 years old, single, and probably want to live alone....I am open though to a 2 bedroom if it is nice because the cost of living is so dirt cheap down there. I've heard woodwind is OK.....I kinda want to find a nice newer place...I want to live there for 2 years because I dont want to move after my first year......Thanks anyone who can help me.............

Hey! Just call the admissions dept - they've got a list of apts. I live in the student housing. Nice to walk across the street to go to school, and we get free heating and internet.

yeah I wanted to live in the student apartments but they were all full.....so I'm wondering if any offcampus students might have some ideas......I've heard about Med Row also......

Hey I'm a second year student and have a place that you might want to consider.

It's through ERA Four Horizon's Reality. 514 W. Scott Street, Apt#4 will be open June 1st and Apt# 2 & 3 will be open Aug 1st

It's a good sized (larger than med row) 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a big living room. It has central heat, dish washer, and the will be adding a washer/dryer when I leave. The rent is $400/month and I usually pay $39/month for electricity/heat and $12/month for water and trash. It is a great deal and 1 block from campus (med row is 2 blocks).

Other options do exist right around the campus, but I'd suggest you come and look at them before renting.

The student apartments are okay, most of my classmates complain that the walls are too thin... which they are. But it just depend on how you handle noise and where you study.

If you go for the 514 W. Scott St Apt. let them know that William sent you and demand the $400 rent or even ask for $375 (which could be accepted). I could for see them increasing rent when the washer and dryer are added. If they do, I'd recomment other places over this one! Marvin Gardens is about the same size, rent and includes a washer/dryer.

Best of luck next year.

If your looking for a place in Kirksville, I?ve got a place you might be interested in. I am a 2nd year soon to be out of here. The place I am in is a house. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer hookups, CENTRAL AIR, detached 1 car garage, hard wood floors. The backyard is gaited. Pets are negotiable. The neighborhood is nice and friendly, family neighborhood. No cars on the front lawn in this part of town. I am picky about were I live and moved 3 times since I arrived in Kirksville, this place is the best I have seen. The owner is the father of a fellow 3rd year. He is way cool, and you will be functioning autonymsly. He is asking 550$. E-mail me if your interested and I can get some pics for you and put you in touch with the owner.
