Hey guys.
I'm a med 4 and new to the forums. I just wanted to say to all of those waiting on acceptances and wait lists to keep their head up. Right now is a very stressful time to be in either of those postitions and I wish you all the best of luck. My roomate for three years in med-school made it off the waitlist at ohio state in June--he did a great job in med school and is now a damn good IM resident. Hang in there 🙂

Hey man.. thanks for dropping by with those words of encouragement. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not getting accepted because Med schools think I'm not suited to be a doctor. But my friends, family, peers, and professors all believe I will be a good doctor. And deep down inside, I know I will be a good doctor. 🙂

I really hope that someday, I will get the chance to prove to those medical schools! 🙂

Thanks for the kind words. It gives me hope. Rejections from schools are turning out to be a huge motivational factor for me 'cuz I know I can be successful. I want to be a doc now more than ever and I refuse to "die and be free of pain!"

Hey Guitarzan, welcome to SDN, and great nickname! I put Ray Stevens up there with the great novelty song writers like Spike Jones and Weird Al.

You know, I always had this philosophy when going through this whole crappy process: You deserve to get in as long as you believe that you would like to have yourself as a doctor. Just remember: It's the school thats missing out by not accepting you. You're gonna do great things someday and they are gonna be sorry that they can't have their name attached to yours when you publish your nobel-peace prize winning, AIDS-curing, cancer kick-assing work. They should be so lucky to have you in their entering class.

I'm glad someone knows Ray Stevens. Anyway, I will tell you what a friend told me...Never, ever quit...when some one forces you back fight harder...when they knock you down fight like an insane man..and when they try to put you away, fight like a god.
