I'm taking 9 units of courses, can I get education loans based on this? Will I be able to get loans for living expenses also?

What is the time frame from applying for a loan to getting cash to spend?

Thanks.

(expecting to start medical school this year, if not, then get into some type of program, and reapply for the last time)

Most federal student loans pay out at set time intervals. I doubt they'd help you.

You can get private loans that pay at any time, but you either need great credit or a cosigner. Also, I think 12 units is the required minimum for being considered a full time student.

btw, you are expecting to start medical school this year because you've been accepted, or are interviewing?

I'd need a little more info to help you. Most semesters have already started so I'm not really sure how to help you out.

you need 12 credits to be full-time, you could still apply for private aid but you'd need a co-signer most likely.
