as an IM resident or intern will you reach a point where you can remember and understand everything...? take pressure volume graphs in the heart-i can understand them but couple of months down the line i cant remember how to draw, explain them without refreshing in a text book....does it become more consolidated with time??

its a weird frustration..

I can't speak for the residents, but in general it's impossible to know everything. Are you a first year med stud? Relax! There is alot to learn, but you're not expected to know absolutely everything about medicine. Even attendings don't know everything! Med school is a marathon. You have to pace yourself. Don't burn yourself out on the first mile. You owe it to yourself and your patients to become a competent doc, but don't forget to take care of yourself.

You don't understand everything yet? And you're almost done with med school? I'm afraid there may be no hope for you. 😉

I actually do know everything...I confirmed it yesterday. My mother agreed.
