Hello everyone,
Hope your second half of May is going well. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to receive an offer from KYCOM and WCUCOM. While I am waitlisted for a couple of other programs (DO and MD), I would like to get some insights about those schools. I do not have a 'true' pros and cons list for either, and I am interested to know a little more about their policies. As things are in flux with the (post) pandemic, residency merger, and the new incoming class, I was not able to satisfy my inquiry through their handbooks and websites. My main concern would be on the clinical side and logistics as well. I will briefly detail some points below:
Clinical- (This maybe a bit subjective and developing in the future):
* Which school has better early exposure, rotation options, residency placements, and chances for (limited) research?
Logistics- (Particularly pertaining to this year and perhaps moving forward):
* What are the attendance policy and dress code for each program?
Additional- (Any relevant feedback about location(s) and historical trends is fantastic):
* Which school will be better overall to prepare me to explore various fields and match decently (with my hard work)?
Any useful feedback would be greatly appreciated.
