Anyone hear about how the various LA programs (UCLA, Cedars, Harbor-UCLA, Kaiser LA) match up against each other and against other programs around the country? Of course I've heard UCLA is amongst the best, but what about the others?

UCLA - 7 years. obviously great reputation. new hospital.

UCLA-Harbor - Not to be underestimated. Serves a poorer population. More trauma. Old hospital.

USC - good reputation, but rough in terms of old infrastructure and slow pace of being part of a poor county system. lots of trauma there. ground broken for new hospital.

Kaiser LA - small, essentially community-based program. Small number of faculty. 3 residents per year. Construction underway for new hospital.

Cedars - very private institution. it's in beverly hills.
