I usually used m1v1 in my gen chem labs and didn't really have do much math
I was visiting a lab and a student was asked to do a dilution, where she had some amount of stock and had to do a 1/100 dilution and figure out how much she needed to add for the specific chemical and then how much water to add to it. She came up with the answer right on the spot. I'm not great at doing dilution calculations in my head but is there some trick to doing such calculations really quick? Such as the 1/100 or 1/4 dilutions
