I want to get lasik surgery done before entering dental school, but I'm hesitant at the moment since some people have been telling me that it is not recommended for people who do surgeries (i.e. surgeons and dentists) to get one. I think it has to do something with light scattering...hmmm.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

I have seen people having these concerns but I don't know what they are talking about. I'm not a dentist yet but I had lasik surgery 8 years ago and it is awesome. My vision is super sharp and clear and has only improved. I would definitely recommend it. (Also my mom, dad, two sisters and brother have all had it done and highly recommend it.)

Wouldn't this be a more appropriate question to ask your ophthalmologist than your fellow pre dents/dental students?
