Most Hospitals that I've heard of, including mine, require everyone to be BLS & ACLS certified prior to starting on July 1st. Sometimes the courses are included during the orientation. You should definetly contact your program to see what their requirements are. Otherwise you can go to the AHA website to find nearby courses http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3012360

I finished March 23rd and it has been marvelous.

My program offers both acls and bls before we start..........my school offers bls before graduation so I am taking that there and acls right before internship.

    Graduation May 26th!

I finished March 30...it's been nothing but booze, chicks and drugs since then. Ok...no drugs...and the chicks are my wife and 2 daughters...and I'm too poor to afford the alcohol...but other than that it's been fantastic.

I'm going to forget everything by the time I start internship...sucks for my patients.
