Hey guys...

I don't know if I'm the only one feeling this way, but whenever I study, I always have questions that I tell myself that I'll get the answer to later, but then I forget about the question that I had altogether 😕

Anyways, so...I thought I'd set up a thread where people can ask last minute questions that they may have so that at least they'll be out in the open in case others were wondering the same thing. who knows, maybe this thread could be lead to a few more questions right on the test (esp on free response)...
😎

i had a question on the difference between kinetochore and centrosome...is it just that the centromere is a general location on the chromosome near the middle ,whereas the kinetochore is an actual region of dna (along with proteins) that happens to be in the centromere region??? if that makes any sense...

thanks.

i'm an idiot. the difference between centromere and kinetochore..whoops.

i seriously think i'm losing my mind.

Centromere divides the chromosome into two parts: the top part called the p-arm and the bottom part called the q-arm. They don't have to be equal in length, and that is where the metacentric, submetacentric, and acrocentric chromosomes fall in.

Centromere also contains kinetochore which is attached to the mitotic spindle by the microtubules - kinetochore fibers.

This is as brief as I can go. Don't worry too much about details..I think the more detailed stuff will be put in passages.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I cant seem to remember Newton's Force Equation. I cant recall clearly, but i think its something like F=P/A /change in volume??? Ok, get back to me, thanks, hope studying is going well, im about to rock this exam!!!!!wooo hooooooooooooooooo. Bring It!

ummm u are scaring me ....newtons force..whhhaaaat?

...F=ma
a=v/t
p=F/A
therefore p=ma/A
or ma=pA = ( Force =pressure(area))
??

it's U=f'd

haha.

kinetochore are the little mitotic spindle fibre attached to the centromere which then attach to the spindle fibres originating from the centrioles during mitosis/meiosis

work =Force(distance)
u=potential energy...what i hate about physics is that everyone has a different stupid letter for everything

I unintentionally posted a real forumula!
I put U=f'd translated "you= fu**ed"

good call though. U=fxd in some cases but I like to use W=fxD usually.

hahahahahahaaaaa
