okay, i just called and diane told me that "no decisions have gone out" to which i responded "but a few of my friends have been admitted already" to which she said "well only a very few letters have gone out, but that's it. we were supposed to get a big batch of decisions to send out last month, but that didn't happen for some reason."
sinai appears to be so inept in this process because there is a huge gap between the admissions committee and the administration. the committee decides what to do, and they just give it to the committee when they feel like it, without any heads up or anything.
and unless they have sent out a letter, the lady on the phone will say "no decision has been made."
i am guessing that sinai is just waiting for a specific nonrolling date to send out the bulk of their decisions_ acceptances, waitlists, and rejection, and until that day, we losers are to drift in the "acceptable_on hold" "waitlist_hold" and "reject_ hold" bins until they get around to deciding our final fates.
goddammit. this totally sucks. everything sucks. i hate everything.
