I have been studying for the Illinois MPJE which i will be taking soon. I have a couple of questions -->
1) Can a doctor's receptionist call in a new Rx for a controlled substance pursuant to a doctor's instructions?
2) Can a pharmacist repackage an OTC medication like Sudafed which is in blister packs for a patients who has difficulty opening the blister packs and would prefer an easy-off container?
3) Do you need explicit consent from the patient to substitute a generic drug if the MD checks off "May substitute" on a prescription?
4) Can a nurse dispense a medication like aspirin or tylenol from an emergency kit for a patient without a MD order?
Thanks in advance.
