Leadership in Limbo - New York Schools

    The following New York Schools have their leadership in some sort of flux- i.e. their chairs are interm chairs...

    Mount Sinai
    Albert Einstein / Montefiore
    Downstate - SUNY
    ? St. Vincents (also on probation since June)

    Well, thats half my match list anyway.


    So where do pepople see these programs headed??

    There are over 2 dozen chairs open in ophthalmology, which likely indicates the financial and political pressures ophthalmology departments face.

    I don't know enough about these programs, however, to make an educated opinion.
