Heya guys,

Out of the list provided with the LECOM interview invitation, what was the closest to the campus? On the day of, did you guys arrange for a taxi or was the school at walking distance? Thanks so much, I'm no where near PA!

Last year, I stayed at the Comfort Inn on Peach-got a discount (mention your there for an interview at LECOM), a ride from the airport to the hotel, to the interview, and back to the airport. Although, I would definitely call ahead of time to see if they still offer this. Usually, they had a main van drive to a couple of hotels and pick up the other interviewee's and off to the interview- but again, call ahead and get the situation squared away. Just my two cents. Oh, and Good Luck.

Great,

I will definately call ahead, and thanks so much for the reply!

Hey

I stayed at the Homewood Suites...they have a great deal and you get a HUGE suite for the price of a regular hotel room. I don't know about the other services...

I stayed at the Motel 6 on Peach Street, the cheapest place on the list. It's not bad for a one night stay, and they actually have a pool to kick back and relax in before the big day. I drove from the hotel to the school, it took less than 15 minutes. Some other students on that day had shuttles from their hotels or took a cab, but I guess you really gotta call ahead of time for a cab, some people from Erie say the cab service is relatively slow.

I too stayed at the Comfort Inn- not too bad, but I found that, as a previous poster mentioned, the Motel 6 was cheaper. When I came back to Erie to look for apartments, I told Motel 6 I was there on LECOM business and they gave me a discounted rate.

I stayed at the Econo Lodge on Peach Street. It was fantastic. I got a ride from the airport, to the interview, and back to the airport following the interview. They have a very nice pool and a hot tub to help you relax before the interview. I certainly spent the night in the hot tub. The ride is about 10-15 minutes to campus and the staff was extremely friendly. If you mention you're interviewing at LECOM you'll get a discount. I think I paid $65. After calling every hotel on the list, I found this to be one of the nicest hotels w/ the best deal. Good luck!
