Does any one have any news on this? I've called but only left messages. I'm sure they are super busy. I just wanted to know if we are ranked so I could at least get an idea of where I stand. Has anyone been wait listed and recently been accepted?

Hi! I wish I could say that I have been waitlisted and accepted, but unfortunately for the time being just waitlisted. I have found very limited information, but the waitlist is NOT ranked. I have heard a number of things that they do.

*Take people off the waitlist that match those people's stats that drop seats.
*Take people off the waitlist by the timing of their interview.
*Take people off the waitlist by reviewing files every week (so those who maintained interest by sending more things to put in their file had a better shot).

The first, I heard was a process done by schools with unranked waitlists. The second, they told me on the phone, but then I had my friend call the same day and she told him the third answer above. Personally, I am hoping for the 2nd or 3rd answer because I interviewed September 29th, 2005 and have sent 2 LOIs, another LOR, a possible new CNA job, and new transcripts.

Me and a few other people are wanting to keep calling to try and get some sort of answer so if we do I will PM you. If you feel like chatting about LECOM feel free to PM me or message me on AIM. My screen name is the same as mine on SDN!

Hey sorry! New post!

I just called LECOM and found out that the waitlist is suppose to move anytime from now until June. Not much info but I tried! :)

I also wanted to know if I turned in a 2007 app, if the admissions committee would see it and she said no, in case anyone was thinking of doing that! I talked to Melissa, fyi!

:luck:

Hey guys, just so you know, there are people in my class who were waitlisted and got word of a spot opening up if they wanted it up until 2 days before classes started!!! They really don't give you a lot of time so plan ahead for that possibility. Most of the last minutes folks got at least 2 weeks notification but I know of 5 who only had 1-2 days to decide. This is due to the fact that many students have multiple acceptances but are not courteous enough to let the school know on a timely basis whether or not they will be attending. Keep your hopes up. Good luck.
