Haha, seriously though, I could sure use the god of medicine's help in getting into a med school this cycle about now. And actually, it's long overdue that someone tried to ressurect the worship of Asclepius. I know he's supposed to be dead and turned into a constellation and all, but still.
Today (ok, well yesterday) on a med school tour this lady called the staff of Asclepius a "single snake caduceus" and I was reaaaaaly tempted to explain that it's not technically a caduceus at all. It didn't have wings, and it only had one snake...and it was obviously a wooden rod with a little branching section. Plus, the caduceus wouldn't even be the proper symbol for medicine, and the usage of the symbol there was meant to connotate medicine.
Umm, anyways, point is, it's time to start a crazy cult for an ancient greek god (or was he technically a half-god? It's kinda confusing)! Who's with me?
