Wouldn't it be great if we could though? Based on the posts around here, I have a feeling we could make everyone happy, get people off of waitlists, etc. "I'll give you a Duke for your Cornell..." or something along those lines.

That would be nice, but I would rather give them out at my discression, kind of like Santa Claus: St. SocialistMD, the patron saint of pre-meds. He gives extra acceptances to those who have been nice.
Even if that were the case, I have already given my extra one back. I do not even know whose day I made.

Could I get a loan? I would like a UW for now and then pay it back later with some other acceptance, and of course interest. Maybe later we could trade residencies? I could cook you dinner?

All right, we got some takers!

We need 2 Baylors, 1 Duke & 1 Wash U & 1 UMAB (a couple of people on this board I'm really pulling for), 1 UW. See if I could just micromanage everyone's lives for a couple of hours, I think I could make this happen, given the pieces that already exist.

I can supply the Wash U, but my withdrawal notice is going out tomorrow, so let me know soon. I'll try to bequeath it to you in the letter I send them.

Congrats on making a decision omores! Am I to assume that you are on your way to the South?? Hmmm... I'll have to look for that one elsewhere. Gotta look out for my partners in crime.

Yep, I'm Durham-bound. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. But I will put a psychic watermark on my Wash U withdrawal that reserves the spot for SDN readers.

Withdrawal letters are hard! It's been really difficult surrendering these alternative futures. But I thought it wise to give them up as soon as possible to help those in waitlist limbo.

My student host at Duke mentioned that she'd been pulled off the waitlist just before classes started. So she gave up her place at another school, which meant that someone else would have gotten off that waitlist even closer to the beginning of term, and so on, and so on...

Here's to starting the withdrawal process early.

Congrats omores!! Best wishes at Duke. I always thought you were a male for some reason.
