Letter of Intent/Interest Question

Is it appropriate to name other acceptances in letter of intent/interest ever and especially if these schools are not as highly ranked? The school I am sending a letter to after waitlist asked for specificity, so I am not sure if this is what they meant

I think they mean specificity in why that school . I highly doubt that mentioning a school or schools that are not highly ranked will do anything. If you were accepted at several T10 the school might be very interested.
