Hey guys, I tried to find this by searching, but got lazy and thought I would just post instead. So, who do we address a Letter of Intent to? Dean of admissions, admissions committee (as in Dear Admissions Committee of X SOM), Dr. we interviewed with?

How about, "To whom it may concern at X SOM"..You can't go wrong with that.

I'd go with admissions committee

i did it to the person who interviewed me, who also is the dean of admissions

If it's a post-waitlist LOI, address it to the person who signed your waitlist letter. I think it's better than addressing it To Whom It May Concern.

If not, go with the dean of admissions.

what if its not a post waitlist and you are waiting for the final acceptances to go out mid march so you hopefully wont get waitlisted?

Rather then starting a new thread, I wanted to ask what's the proper length for the Letter of Intent. I have recently written a letter to my number 1 choice but it came out to be a page and a half.

Thanks in advance!

Try to keep it to a page. I'd suggest keeping it succinct and to the point.

If you have more to say, you can send a follow up letter later.

i was thinking of sending a lettor of intent to my number one choice that doesnt send acceptances until March, but was worried it was too early. If its my number one choice, do you guys think i should go ahead and send it??

March is quite late. Since it's impossible to know when your file will be reviewed by the adcoms, I'd send it sooner rather than later if you are sure this is your #1 choice school.
