letter of intent requirement (residency)

So I was looking at the online residency directory in ashp.org and I noticed that some of the residencies that I am applying for did not list a letter of intent in their special requirements. Is a letter of intent preferred in these programs?

I think all programs want a letter of intent. I would certainly send one even if it doesn't specifically say that on ASHP. Try looking at the hospital's website for more info about the program too.
