So, I sent a letter of recommendation from my boss and a letter of interest to my 2nd choice school. i'm waitlisted there.

I said that I had a very favorable impression of the school yada yada. But i never mentioned that it's my 1st choice or that I would drop all other schools if i get in there.

so it's not a letter of intent that binds me to that school right?
b/c i know there's some rule that if you write a letter of intent to a school and they accept you, you HAVE to go.

But my letter doesn't bind me to there, right? i doubt i'd get into my 1st choice, but if i do, i will most likely not go to my 2nd choice school.

hola chica - letters of interest aren't binding (nor are letters of intent for that matter, but it's super shady and bad form to go back on one), so you've done perfectly right in sending one to your 2nd choice. if you didn't imply that if you got in you'd go there for sure, you're fine. good luck!!

thanks! good luck to you too!! 🙂
